Dear Fudokan family,
After the long process of finishing up the reports and results of the 9th World Fudokan Championship that was held from November 23rd to 26th, 2023 in Belgrade (Serbia) we are proud to tell you that the number of all participants, including coaches, judges, officials, guests, etc. is 2.080 persons from 48 countries.
The total number of competitors was 1.750 in all categories from 46 countries.
The Championship started on Thursday, November 23rd with Children categories – elimination and semi-finals. On Friday were finals of the Children categories and start of Cadets competition. Saturday we finished all Cadets discipline and stared Juniors, Youths and Veterans disciplines. On Sunday we finished Juniors disciplines and started Seniors. We had extremely successful events in all our departments (Traditional, Sport, Tamashiwari, Kobudo, Budo and Ikkaido).
The Opening ceremony was on November 24th with the beginning at 17:00 at Sport Hall „Ranko Zeravica“ where the Championship was held. At the Opening ceremony of the championship, we had the honor to host the Ambassador of Indonesia – His excellency Mr. M. Chandra Widya Yudha, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of Tunisia in Belgrade – Mr. Foued Abdelkarim, representatives of the „Stena“ Business Club, President of Zvezdara municipalitie – Mr. Vladan Jeremic and Presidents of 4 other Belgrade municipalities, representatives from Ducla Trading which was one of the sponsors of the Championship, representatives of numerous Serbian companies as well as public figures such as very popular Serbian actors and singers who supported our event. We had the honor to have theChampionship opened by the Ambassador of Indonesia – His excellency Mr. M. Chandra Widya Yudha.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our dear friends and parents of the participants, honored Ambassadors and guests, as well as everyone who came and supported our event. We wouldn’t have had such a successful Championship if it weren’t you.
